About
Team Project Installation
The New Media Senior Project is for New Media seniors to come together and create a piece of work to show our capabilities as individuals as well as a group. This year, many have chosen to create installation-based work that will give the user an experience instead of just navigating a computer screen. Our particular project will envelope the user, take their individual sounds, and create a piece of art.

Project Overview
As humans, sound is an integral part to much of our human expression. We plan on taking this mode of expression and visualizing it. Projectors and microphones will be set up in a confined space where users will be able to walk in and make sounds that will be interpreted by computers and displayed on the projectors. The users will be able to make “artwork” out of their own voice. The graphics that will be displayed will change depending on the volume and intensity of the sound as well as the bass, timbre, and echo that the users project. Through the entire experience, the artwork will be constantly changing and becoming increasingly more interesting as more users participate. In the end, users will be able to go online and find their artwork so that they can show others what their individual sound created.
